Repair ProgramThe Municipality of Anchorage will
assist low- to moderate-income families who own and occupy an attached
or detached single-family home, in need of minor repair. This
assistance is in the form of a grant up to $ 15,000 and must be used
for items that threaten the health or safety of the household.
Applicants may reapply for Minor Repair Program grants until they have
reached their $ 15,000 cap.
The funding source for the grants is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant Program.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined below, and as detailed in the program's policy statement.
The total household income may not exceed United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) established low-income limits, according to family size. These income limits are adjusted on an annual basis. Household income will be determined as the adjusted gross income as defined for reporting on IRS Form 1040 for individual federal annual income tax purposes.
